1 Keep in mind that many churches prohibit visitors during regular worship services. If you are allowed inside during a service, be respectful and don't distract with flashing cameras.
2 Be respectful of your environment. When visiting Florence's churches, dress appropriately. This means no shorts or bare shoulders, and no exposed knees for women.

9 A good way to orient yourself to the city is to take a bike or segway tour, and to do it early in your visit.
10 Be sure to tour the Left Bank of the Arno, where you'll find all manner of hidden treasures.
